On April 22, 2019, four friends watched a brother die, consumed by stomach cancer that spread rapidly.

The proximity to death shook them to their core, and they decided to return to the essentials. To their roots. They decided to embark on a journey towards awakening, leaving everything behind—a journey to Argentine Patagonia.

They lived almost naked, with the starry sky as their roof and pure mountain water flowing into the lakes as their only drink. Their sustenance was nothing more than the company of their friends and the nature that surrounded them. For ninety-five days, they traversed landscapes while those same landscapes traversed them, shaping and transforming their souls.

The death of their friend had been a brutal shock. The fear of life weighed heavily on them, and only in the vastness of nature did they find the courage to face it. That journey changed them forever.

Alberto, a laborer who works in a jungle region of Argentina, could never leave those landscapes behind. Today, he still lives among them, as if he couldn’t let go of the roots he planted on that journey.

Kike, inspired by pure living, started an organic food business, always seeking to return to the essential.

Totó, the tireless traveler, continues to roam the world in search of landscapes that inspire him to find himself.

Ricardo, the one writing to you now, lives in Berlin and dedicates his life to telling stories like this journey, which changed his way of seeing the world.

This series tells the story of four friends awakening. In the face of death, they realized they had been living paralyzed by fear.

It’s about the journey they undertook and the landscapes that accompanied them. Even though they may still walk with fear, those landscapes will accompany them forever.
